The name of the file, which may be monika.chr, natsuki.chr, sayori.chr, or yuri.chr (characters in the game) indicates the Easter egg content stored in the file. The game that needs no introduction. I can’t speak for the messing around with the files in mid-game. I’ve never been there before, and I don’t intend on trying it anytime soon.

The game is divided into two distinct Acts. Act I evokes a distorted sense of security with a stereotypical dating sim storyline. By contrast, Act II introduces an atmosphere of psychological horror. Be prepared for visual glitches, cutscenes that demolish the fourth wall, game file manipulation, and images that are not suitable for those easily disturbed.
